This page will be a continuously updated selection of new songs/EP’s/albums I love and may or may not have a little bit of blurb about them, depending on what I’ve got to say!
Last night I listened for the first time to the album Á by Swedish-Australian-German band Hekla while I read in bed. Outside the weather was dark, wet and windy and this album was absolutely perfect for the moment. I can best describe it as brooding, experimental, dark ambient, very ethereal and haunting in places. It is perfect late night listening. If need further convinced, skip to the track Arms and try to tell me it isn’t stunning.
